Lisa Adkins Obituary- Death, Goshen, Indiana Shooting: Community Mourns Tragic Death

Authorities in Goshen, Indiana, are investigating a tragic incident that resulted in the deaths of two former spouses following a downtown shooting and a multi-county police pursuit on Monday.

Police say 50-year-old Lisa Adkins was fatally shot at the intersection of Main and Clinton Streets in downtown Goshen. She was struck multiple times in what officials describe as a targeted attack that has left the community in shock.

Investigators believe the shooting is connected to a domestic situation involving her former husband, Aaron Holliday, who allegedly fled the scene immediately after the incident. Authorities say Holliday then led law enforcement on a pursuit that moved through several counties, including Fulton, Pulaski, and Cass.

The chase reportedly began after Holliday refused to stop for officers near Kewanna and quickly escalated as multiple agencies joined the effort. After roughly 40 minutes, the pursuit ended when an Indiana State Police trooper executed a PIT maneuver, causing the vehicle to crash off the roadway.

As officers approached the vehicle, a gunshot was heard from inside. Authorities later confirmed that Holliday died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The Indiana State Police is leading the ongoing investigation into both the shooting in Goshen and the subsequent pursuit, working to establish a clear timeline of events.

The death of Lisa Adkins has deeply affected the Goshen community, with residents remembering her as a kind and warm presence. Officials say the investigation remains active, and further details may be released as it progresses.
